History of the Brush
Jackson Li has given many hands on workshops on brush making to artists throughout the Unites States, Europe, South America, Canada, Australia and China.
Jackson uses various hairs from goats, water buffalo, squirrel, deer tail and pig to combine them with found objects, wood, bone, bamboo, palm bark and roots to create real works of art that also serves as a functional tool for the artist. Jackson has made very special brushes for ceramic artists and potters to use with under and over glaze applications. Other brushes serve the artist in slip application, calligraphy and water colour painting.
